23 Awesome and Cool Apple Icons

By  |

Apple products are well known for their simple and elegant design, and they are favored by many designers. Their products are often seen in web design, particularly on portfolio websites, and these products are also popular subjects for icon design. As a huge fan of Apple, I love it when I come across creative apple icons. There is a relatively small, but passionate, community of designers that create apple icons on Dribbble.

What do we use icons for? They represent different applications. The icon is the face of your app, that’s why they are often bloated with unnecessary information. Overcomplicated icon design looks awful. Imagine some icon, cluttered with elements. Can you use it in a small size? These creative apple icons were chosen for their interesting perspectives and incredible attention to detail. And some of them because they made me hungry. Okay, a lot of them were chosen because they made me hungry. It also makes me even more sad about the upcoming iOS 7 changes, where it really feels like the heart and soul of apple icons has been taken out. But I won’t throw too much fuel on that fire. I always find it so interesting how much detail they’re able to fit into a small icon, so today I’ve put together a collection of ridiculously awesome app icons that will hopefully inspire you.
